Cleaner and Safer Neighborhood
Serving as a code compliance officer for the past 13 years in the City of Dallas, I have extensive experience in dealing with zoning, substandard structure, and premise violations. During this time, I have learned the most effective way to gain compliance is to engage with the owner or occupant of the property.
I feel there is an opportunity for Cedar Hill’s Code Enforcement Department to become more productive. I would like to work with the Department to establish practices that would ensure productivity while, at the same time, delivering superior customer service to Cedar Hill residents. Furthermore, I would like to work closely with the Police Department to gain knowledge of the inner workings, so I can fully understand what it would take to make our streets safer and keep them that way.

Como oficial de cumplimiento de códigos durante los últimos 13 años en la Ciudad de Dallas, tengo una amplia experiencia en el manejo de la zonificación, la estructura deficiente y las infracciones de las premisas. Durante este tiempo, he aprendido que la forma más efectiva de lograr el cumplimiento es trabajar juntos con el propietario u ocupante de la propiedad.
Siento que hay una oportunidad para que el Departamento de Cumplimiento de Códigos de Cedar Hill sea más productivo. Me gustaría trabajar con el Departamento para establecer prácticas que aseguren la productividad y, al mismo tiempo, brindar un servicio al cliente superior a los residentes de Cedar Hill. Además, me gustaría trabajar en estrecha colaboración con el Departamento de Policía para conocer mejor el funcionamiento interno, para poder comprender completamente lo que se necesita para hacer que nuestras calles sean más seguras y mantenerlas así.
Cultural Connection
Throughout the years, our community has become more diverse. I want every culture and race to feel they belong to and can be an important part of this community. The many different faces of Cedar Hill need to be represented on the various boards and commissions this city offers, and it's important for younger citizens to serve on these boards, too, as they are the future of our city.

A lo largo de los años, nuestra comunidad se ha vuelto más diversa. Quiero que todas las culturas y razas sientan que pertenecen y pueden ser una parte importante de esta comunidad. Las diferentes caras de Cedar Hill deben estar representadas en las distintas juntas y comisiones que ofrece esta ciudad, y también es importante que los ciudadanos más jóvenes formen parte de estas juntas, ya que son el futuro de nuestra ciudad.
